Barbara Ann has been gone from this Earth nearly a year... I talk to her daily, I even ask her to help me bowl a Strike. When she was here living in my hometown with her husband and grandchildren within fifty miles. She knew me as "Bobby". I knew her as "Mom".
It's a shame, really, that my Mom didn't live long enough to get to know the man that I became... Oddly enough I feel as though the rest of my family have also left this plane of existence. I have made numerous calls to the home phone in Whitman, I even gave my Dad a way out- Place a call back to me and I'll call back. My cell plan includes long distance. But still no chat time with my Dad. ERRRRRgggh!
Oh well his loss actually, I have other concerns on my plate that require my attention...

Howdy Kids!
Today is the 19th day of February 2010. I'm just a weekend away from my long awaited 48th Birthday!
WHOA Fuck yeah!
My Birthday was 02.22.62 0600 hours. Yeah, I prefer using 24 hour time, okay for the folks that just don't get it... Here in the USA many would say the time is in the military style. Or simply "military time" ARGH!!! I prefer using 24 hour time format. I think it's more accurate. For example when it's a quarter past four in the afternoon I see 14:15 INSTEAD of 2:15 pm "
I was borne in the Chinese animal year of Tiger. 2010 is also Year of Tiger. My favorite brother Adam is also a Tiger having been born in 1974. If someone were to say to me, oh back when I was in my late 30's, that my life would drastically change seemingly overnight AND that I be forced to retire before I became fifty years of age.Right! yeah, i should be so lucky, huh?

The day after Christmas 2k9
Whew, Folks!! My Santa showed up on Christmas Eve and we went shopping!! The behr now sports a pair of black sweatpants and a new pair of shoes! I'm still homeless, but my "santa" put me into a motel room for two nights. LOVED IT!
Now today is the day after Christmas and the behr remains without a place to call home.

Wow... It's been ten years already?!???!?
OMG-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I find it quite hard to believe but it has been a whole decade since [04.20.99]the tragedy of the Colubine shootings! Here I was reading a story of one of the survivors- becoming an entrepreneur. Now the kid is in his late twenties... But when he was a wee lad of 17 he was shot twice that day. He (sorry gang but DasBehr doesn't recall the person's name nor the URL... darnnit! but alas it's now been over ten years since that horrible day...

It's been 40 years, what about our equal rights?!!
Howdy All!
I've been to and survived the fortieth anniversary of the Stonewall riot- a.k.a. The 2009 San Fransisco Freedom Day Parade and Celebration.
I did so ALONE which for some odd reason has become an on-going theme for me in these post illness days. I first encountered Ronnie [ a.k.a. Mister Leather Daddy- Alameda County 2007 and his husband- Kevin, we were at the south corner of Sixth and Market Streets The Ross Store to our backs and Market Street and the Virgin MegaStore to the front. The parade started promptly at 10.30 hours and was over by 13.45 hours.
After the Parade I walked to Civic Center for the Celebration. It was there that I found a cute Aussie by the name of Andrew hawking a new magazine recently available here in the 'States. DNA is a mens men magazine from Austrailia. According to Andrew, DNA has been publishing for the Australian Gay Male market for the last 10 years or so.
In addition to meeting Sir Ronnie and Kevin, Aussie Andrew 9of Sydney), i met a trio of young cute guys from Idaho- Rob and his partner Adam and their friend Derrick
I took a liking to Derrick not so much for his young age of 21, but rather for the fact of him wearing a red silk kimono.
Incidentally Rob was the "old man" of the trio at 35 years of age and his partner Adam was 32 years old.
